Juicing has many health benefits and is an easy way to get your kids nutrients that they would not get otherwise. The tips that are provided below will help guide you toward fun and interesting ways to make delicious juice drinks that you and your family are sure to love.

Keep fruit and vegetable juices separate. Fruit and vegetable juices are both great for your body, but they require different enzymes to be broken down in your digestive tract. When you combine fruits and vegetables, your body has to work twice as hard to break down the nutrients, and will not be as efficient in absorbing them. The one exception to this is the apple. Apples are neutral and can be used in either fruit or vegetable juices and are a great way to add some sweetness to your vegetable juice.

Become aware of the "two-thirds rule." This generally refers to the fact that you should be very conscientious about your health at least 2/3 of the time. You should be employing this rule about five times a week. These are the times that you need to try to eat healthy.

Before juicing, find out what items you need to peel and what you can leave whole. Citrus fruits generally need to have the peel removed before juicing. Be careful however when peeling, the white area immediately underneath the peel is fine to juice and it is where MOST of the nutrients are.

To start making sure that you start juicing as a regular part of your diet, try to make sure that the juice machine stays on the counter all the time. It should always be in plain sight in the kitchen. If you cannot see it, you may forget about it.

Wonder why your skin is turning a bit yellow now that you've started juicing? Don't worry, you aren't developing jaundice! Carrot juice can lend the skin a slight orange tint which will give you a sunny glow, attesting to your new healthy lifestyle. It's not a horrible skin condition after all!

Using wheatgrass in your juice is an excellent way to add a ton of tasty nutrients to the final product. Start with a little bit and increase how much you push through the machine until it's all fed into the juicer. Follow with a hard fruit or vegetable to clean out the machine.

Juicing is an incredibly healthy practice. It can detoxify the body, provide essential nutrients, and generally kick start your own immune system.
